After the Fed outcome, Bitcoin tumbled to below $18,400, its lowest level since early June, but later re-gained momentum in Thursday’s session after investors started to take positions again in the crypto market. Following sharp gains in digital tokens, the global market cap over the last 24 hours ascended by 5% to $953.18 billion, while volumes in the crypto universe tanked by over 16 per cent.

Canada’s crypto exchange landscape appears to be consolidating after Coinsquare, one of the largest digital asset trading platforms in the country, acquired CoinSmart for an undisclosed amount. 

Privately-held Coinsquare will pay $3 million in cash and issue 5,222,222 shares to publicly-traded CoinSmart to buy the latter's operating subsidiary Simply Digital Technologies. CoinSmart will hold approximately 12% ownership in Coinsquare on a pro-forma basis.CoinSmart co-founders Justin Hartzman, Jeremy Koven, and Michael Koral will join Coinsquare.

 

A self-styled 23-year-old 'Crypto King' is facing a raft of demands among 140 of his investors as they try to claw back a collective total of $35 million from his company AP Private Equity Limited.
