Delhi Spice Scam: 15 Tonnes of adulterated masalas seized, 3 arrested
Delhi Police has uncovered a massive racket involving the production and sale of adulterated spices in northeast Delhi's Karawal Nagar area. Two factories were raided, leading to the seizure of a staggering 15 tonnes of spurious spices. Three individuals, including the owners of these processing units, have been arrested in connection with the case. «Acting on this information, a team was formed, resulting in raids on May 1. During the operation, Singh was found operating one of the processing units, where he was producing adulterated turmeric using non-edible and banned substances such as spoiled leaves, rice, millets, wood dust, chilli heads, acids, and oils.» said the DCP. Despite their attempts to flee, both Singh and Sarfaraj were apprehended and interrogated. Singh confessed to be the owner of the manufacturing unit, while Malik admitted to supplying these adulterated spices, the officer said.

Being a workaholic does not help your career
Journal Of Occupational Health Psychology, which included 139 full-time employees in Italy, concluded that most workaholic employees are unhappy with their life both outside and inside the office, as compared to those who stepped back from work from time to time. There’s enough research to show that millennials (typically those born between 1981 and 1996) forfeit time off for several reasons, from being afraid of their superiors, to constantly worrying about maintaining a pristine reputation before their bosses.

Lok Sabha Polls: It's BJP Vs Congress rebel in Maharashtra's Sangli constituency
Sangli Lok Sabha constituency, a Congress bastion until BJP wrested it 10 years ago, has gathered more attention due to a friction between alliance partners Shiv Sena (UBT) and Congress than the electoral battle. UBT unilaterally decided to field Chandrahar Patil for the seat without even discussing it with Congress, and an upset Vishal Patil, grandson of former Maharashtra chief minister Vasant Dada Patil, is contesting the poll as an independent. BJP leaders hope that this infighting in the Opposition camp, along with the Modi factor, will help its sitting MP Sanjay Kaka Patil eke out a win in spite of a strong anti-incumbency sentiment over lack of development and infrastructure in the region. Congress held its sway in Sangli for more than five decades, winning the seat from 1962 to 2009, until BJP's Sanjay Patil won it in 2014.
