Highways Hartford show concert Snoop Dogg’s Houston Concert Hospitalizations: Here’s what happened
Snoop Dogg concert in Houston, causing 16 individuals to be taken to nearby hospitals. The event took place at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and temperatures reached 104 degrees during the day. Around 35 people displayed signs of heat-related issues and were assessed at the venue. An additional group of more than 12 individuals were sent to hospitals from the concert site. Misti Willingham, the public information officer of Montgomery County Hospital District, stated that the MCHD EMS took these 16 adults to hospitals in stable condition. Due to the ongoing effects of global climate change contributing to an exceptionally hot summer, the local fire department was deployed to the scene as a precaution. The fire department's intervention was considered an effective measure when enacted early. The Atascocita Fire Department shared that they were assisting overheated concert goers at the Snoop Dogg show through a tweet during the event. Snoop Dogg is currently touring with Too $hort and Wiz Khalifa on the High School Reunion tour. Their next stop is scheduled for the Isleta Amphitheater in Albuquerque, NM on August 22. This occurrence is part of a series of heat-related incidents this summer. In a previous incident, during an Ed Sheeran concert in Pittsburgh on July 8, 17 people were hospitalized due to heat-related illnesses. Moreover, Jason Aldean had to cut short the start of his Highway Desperado Tour on July 15 in Hartford, CT, due to dehydration and heat exhaustion.
