IIFL Finance on Wednesday raised $50 million in three-year external commercial borrowing (ECB) from Japan's Mizuho Bank. The loan, priced at 120 basis points over Tokyo overnight average rate (Tonar), will be used for onward retail lending. One basis point is 0.01 percentage point. Tonar is at a negative 0.1%.

TOKYO : A crew member who was recovered from the ocean after a US military Osprey aircraft carrying six people crashed Wednesday off southern Japan has been pronounced dead, coast guard officials said. The cause of the crash and the status of the five others on the aircraft were not immediately known, coast guard spokesperson Kazuo Ogawa said. Initial reports said the aircraft was carrying eight people, but the US military later revised the number to six, he said.

US Federal Reserve will not raise interest rates further. On Tuesday, domestic frontline indices ended with gains as fag-end buying helped snap two-day losing run despite mixed global cues. The Sensex ended 204.16 points, or 0.31%, higher at 66,174.20, while the Nifty 50 gained 95.00 points, or 0.48%, to close at 19,889.70.

TCS: The ₹17,000 crore-share buyback programme of India’s top software services exporter Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will open on 1 December. The buyback, where investors can sell to the company their shares at an offer price of ₹4,150 apiece, will close on 7 December, TCS said in a regulatory filing on Tuesday. The IT bellwether aims to repurchase up to 40.9 million shares (1.12% of the total equity share capital) at ₹4,150 apiece in a buyback valued at ₹17,000 crore.
