In the credit default swaps market, the threat of another government shutdown sent one-year credit default swaps to their widest since June 1, when the US government was on the cusp of a technical sovereign default as politicians in Washington haggled over the borrowing limit. U.S. one-year credit default swaps widened to 22 bps on Wednesday, from 21 bps at Tuesday's close.

Futurama concluded its 11th season on Hulu recently, sparking curiosity about the show's potential return for a 12th season. Here's what we know so far. After experiencing two cancellations, first by Fox in 2003 and then by Comedy Central in 2013, Futurama resurfaced in 2023 on Hulu. Season 11, comprising 10 episodes, aired starting from July 24. This season revolved around significant events of the past decade, presented humorously and satirically, touching on the pandemic and the rise and fall of an online conglomerate. The big question is whether characters like Fry, Leela, Bender, Hermes, Professor Farnsworth, Zoidberg and Amy will continue their adventures after the season 11 finale, titled «All The Way Down.»

Responding to the question during the 'Discussion at Council on Foreign Relations' in New York, Jaishankar said, «I am not part of The Five Eyes, I am certainly not part of the FBI.

Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, said on Tuesday that India has told Canada it was open to looking into any «specific» or «relevant» information it provides on the killing of Sikh separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said last week that Ottawa had credible intelligence linking Indian agents to the murder, prompting an angry initial reaction from New Delhi, which denies the allegation. Asked about the allegations at a Council on Foreign Relations event in New York, Jaishankar detailed India's response in diplomatic engagements. «One, we told the Canadians that this is not the government of India's policy,» he said. «Two, we told the Canadians saying that look, if you have something specific, if you have something relevant, you know, let us know — we are open to looking at it.» India last week suspended new visas for Canadians and asked Ottawa to reduce its diplomatic presence in the country, citing what it called a deteriorating security environment. India had been «badgering the Canadians» about its claims that organized criminals are based there, a reference to separatists like Nijjar, he said, adding that India had made «a large number of extradition requests.» «The picture is not complete without the context,» he added.

The co-founder of AirBit Club — a cryptocurrency pyramid scheme that swindled investors of over $100 million — has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for his role in a $100 million "pyramid scheme"  that purported to be involved in crypto mining.

Trump's lawyers had asked the judge to throw out the case ahead of the trial by granting what is known as a summary judgment in his favor.

Hardeep Singh Nijjar's killing, the minister said that it was ‘politically inconvenient'. Speaking at a Council on Foreign Relations event in New York, Jaishankar said, “Canada actually has seen a lot of organized crime relating to the secessionist forces, organized crime, violent extremism." “Our concern is that it’s really been very permissive because of political reasons. So we have a situation where, actually, our diplomats are threatened," he added.
