The Ripple Labs left no stones unturned to stay true to the investors’ faith in them. Even though SEC vs. Ripple case reigns supreme, there are a couple of factors affecting XRP‘s price trajectory. Something that the XRP community had rejoiced extensively over the past weeks.

The San Francisco-based payments company has long argued that the SEC didn’t give adequate notice of considering XRP to be a security. In fact, Brad Garlinghouse, CEO at Ripple hadreiterated the same in a 19 February tweet. Nonetheless, sensing a possible victory, defendant had clamped down on the SEC with different significant strikes.

With Russia hit by sanctions and being cut from the SWIFT system, many crypto watchers in the past few days have been talking about XRP’s place in the banking world, and the legal tangle of SEC vs Ripple.

The ongoing feud between theSecurities and Exchange Commission and the fintech firm, Ripple continues to make headlines. On 25 February, the SEC filed its opposition to Brad Garlinghouse’s Motion to Compel turnover of notes taken by Matthew Estabrook, counsel to former Commissioner Roisman.

Ripple, the fintech firm has taken an offensive approach when dealing with the ongoing lawsuit with theSEC. The former filed two consecutive motions to put the U.S. regulatory board in the back seat. On 23 February, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a ‘Sur-Sur-Reply’ to Ripple Inc.’s 10 February sur-reply on the “fair notice” defense.

A former executive from the Securities and Exchange Commission believes the regulator has a good chance of losing its $1.3 billion lawsuit against Ripple “on the merits” of the case.
