Is Donald Trump's inner circle feeling left out because of his close relationship with Elon Musk? Sources say Melania is a fan of Tesla CEO
Elon Musk to US President- elect Donald Trump has eventually sparked discontent among members of the US President-elect's inner circle, according to Page Six. Elon Musk has eventually become a frequent presence at the Mar-a-Lago while participating in significant discussions which include calls with international leaders like Turkey's Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky. Page Six reported that this new bond has reportedly made many of Donald Trump's traditional advisors feel actually sidelined while insiders also noted that his inner circle is shrinking as he spends more time with Elon Musk and other selective individuals like Howard Lutnick who is the co-chair of his transition team. COP29 climate talks grapple with trillion-dollar task
Money is a focus at COP29 whose success is likely to be judged by whether it can agree a new target for how much richer countries, development lenders and the private sector must provide each year to help developing countries finance the transition to greener energy and protect against extreme weather. Reaching a deal is likely to be especially hard at a summit where the mood has been soured by disputes and pessimism about shifts in global politics.

United Nations faces uncertainty as Trump returns to US presidency
United Nations and other international organizations are bracing for four more years of Donald Trump, who famously tweeted before becoming president the first time that the 193-member UN was «just a club for people to get together, talk and have a good time.» In his first term, Trump suspended funding for the U.N. health and family planning agencies, withdrew from its cultural organisation and top human rights body, and jacked up tariffs on China and even longtime U.S. allies by flaunting the World Trade Organization's rulebook. The United States is the biggest single donor to the United Nations, paying 22% of its regular budget. Trump's take this time on the world body began taking shape this week with his choice of Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York for US ambassador to the UN. Stefanik, the fourth-ranking House member, called last month for a «complete reassessment» of US funding for the United Nations and urged a halt to support for its agency for Palestinian refugees, or UNRWA. President Joe Biden paused the funding after UNRWA fired several staffers in Gaza suspected of taking part in the Oct 7, 2023, attack led by Hamas.

Polling Nostradamus Allan Lichtman wrong election prediction has an Elon Musk connection?
Allan Lichtman, often dubbed the «Nostradamus» of US Presidential Polls, has blamed disinformation and billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk for his incorrect prediction that Vice President Kamala Harris would win the US elections. Lichtman, who has correctly predicted nine out of 10 election results, is renowned for accurately forecasting nine of the last ten US elections. But things took a U-turn last week when the historian and political scientist's prediction that Kamala Harris would win the US Presidential elections turned out to be wrong with Republican Donald Trump returning to the White House. Now, speaking to News Nation, Allan Lichtman, a professor at American University, provided a deeper explanation for his incorrect forecast and pointed to conservative media platforms and Elon Musk, who pored millions into Donald Trump's campaign, as a factor in his inaccurate prediction. Crypto and High: Bourses, traders come up Trumps
crypto frenzy in the global markets are lapping Indian shores. Average daily trading volumes in half a dozen major exchanges have surged 3 times in less than a week despite crippling taxes and a shadow ban by most banks. Investors who were sitting on losses for close to 18 months are suddenly in the money. Prices of some of the zombie coins, along with other cryptocurrencies, are tailing Bitcoin which touched a new high. And, more local investors are booking profits than chipping in fresh money — as is borne out by the squeeze in the premium in USDT, the stable coin that serves as a go-between when cryptocurrencies are sold to generate rupees.

Trump's Treasury pick: Lutnick now a top contender alongside Bessent, sources say
Howard Lutnick has emerged as a serious contender alongside investor Scott Bessent for the top Treasury job in the new Trump administration, two sources familiar with the matter said, as the race for the high profile role heats up. Lutnick, a longtime friend of Trump's and co-chair of the transition team, had received the backing of at least one influential member of President-elect Donald Trump's inner circle for the Treasury Secretary role, one of the sources said. Bessent, who served as an economic advisor to the Trump campaign in addition to being a fundraiser, remains a top contender, said the sources, who asked not to be identified talking about positions ahead of them being announced.
