Analysts from the prominent New York-based investment bank H.C. Wainwright have declared an end to “crypto winter.”

The price of Bitcoin (BTC) nosedived roughly 7% in just one hour, falling from $29,850 to $27,789, which media outlets reported was due to blockchain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence incorrectly sending out an alert that wallets linked to Mt. Gox and the U.S. government had begun shifting large sums of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin’s dominance is currently 45.81%, a decrease of 0.20% over the day, according to CoinMarketCap.

The price of Ethereum's Ether (ETH) token has retreated from its recovery trend versus Bitcoin (BTC) while making a series of lower highs in April.

It may take some time for investors and traders to evaluate the potential impact of the inflation data and recover from the event,» Edul added. Other top crypto tokens were also trading lower. Litecoin declined nearly 10%. Meanwhile, BNB, XRP, Polygon and Polkadot traded with cuts. The global cryptocurrency market cap was trading lower around $1.22 trillion, falling 3.92% in the last 24 hours.

The total volume in DeFi is currently 4.14 billion, 9.13% of the total crypto market 24-hour volume. The volume of all stablecoins stood at $41 billion, which is 90.4% of the total crypto market 24-hour volume.
