Trump calling the shots in the Middle East, Biden administration relegated to the role of a public relations firm, says Netanyahu
Middle East have suggested a major shift in power dynamics specifically regarding US influence under US President Joe Biden. According to Independent, following the fall of the Assad regime in Syria, the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu swiftly occupied several villages in the Golan Heights while citing threats from anti-Israel militant groups. Independent reported that this certain action has been severely criticized as a violation of international law and the response of Joe Biden administration has been eventually perceived as really weak while the State Department officials have framed the military actions of Israel as something temporary. Donald Trump says he will use military for deportations to fullest extent of law
When asked about a U.S. law that generally prevents the military from being used in domestic law enforcement, Trump said illegal immigration amounted to an invasion that needed to be stopped. «I consider it an invasion of our country,» Trump told TIME as part of an interview naming him 'Person of the Year.' «We'll get National Guard, and we'll go as far as I'm allowed to go, according to the laws of our country.» Trump, a Republican, won reelection in November portraying migrants as dangerous criminals and promising a wide-ranging crackdown on both legal and illegal immigration, including mass deportations. He plans to pull resources from across the federal government for the deportation effort and declare a national emergency to unlock funds for enforcement, reported in November.

FBI pick Kash Patel claims first casualty from his hit list
Donald Trump's pick to head the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), has claimed the first casualty from his hit list of 60 people who he thinks are the main actors of the deep state. FBI Director Christopher Wray will resign at the end of the Biden administration, the agency said on Wednesday. Wray was appointed by Trump in 2017 during his first term after Trump fired then director James Comey. After Trump's re-election, he announced several appointments among whom was Kash Patel as the next FBI Director. Since Wray had a 10-year term ending in 2027, Trump's announcement of Patel as FBI head left Wray with two options: leave on his own or be fired when Trump takes charge. Trump and his allies turned on Wray and the FBI after agents conducted a court-approved search of Trump’s Florida resort in 2022 to recover classified documents that he had retained after leaving office. Trump had called it weaponization of the agency which he said was part of a deep state conspiracy aimed at undermining his presidency.

Who could become next FBI Director as Chris Wray drops step down bomb?
FBI Director Chris Wray will step down from his post early next year, the bureau said on Wednesday, after Republican President-elect Donald Trump signaled his intent to fire the veteran official and replace him with firebrand Kash Patel. Trump himself had appointed Wray, a fellow Republican, to his 10-year term in 2017, after firing his predecessor James Comey, who the then-president soured on over the FBI's investigations into alleged contacts between his 2016 campaign and Russia. «After weeks of careful thought, I’ve decided the right thing for the Bureau is for me to serve until the end of the current Administration in January and then step down,» Wray told FBI employees today, the agency said in a statement.
