Following the instructions, she spoke to someone pretending to be a courier executive, who told her that a parcel sent in her name contained six fake passports, ATM cards, and illegal drugs like MDMA. Keerthana explained that she hadn't ordered any such parcel. She was then told that she needed to go to Mumbai to clear the matter with the police. When she expressed that she couldn't immediately travel, the fraudster connected her to someone posing as «Sunil Dutt Dubey», a police officer from Mumbai's crime team.

Madhya Pradesh High Court has served a notice to the principal accountant general, Gwalior, on a petition filed by retired judge and former deputy Lokayukta Umesh Chandra Maheshwari seeking direction for his gratuity payment. A division bench of Chief Justice SK Kait and Justice Vivek Jain issued notices while hearing the former judge's plea on Wednesday. Justice Maheshwari became the deputy Lokayukta after his stint as a high court judge. As per the plea, Maheshwari was appointed as the deputy Lokayukta of Madhya Pradesh with effect from June 28, 2016, and rendered his services till June 27, 2022.

Supertech Township Projects, has rejected the settlement proposal and NCLAT will now take a final decision on the insolvency of the debt-ridden realty firm. Counsel representing Ram Kishore Arora, the suspended director of the realty firm informed NCLAT on Thursday about the rejection of the settlement proposal. «Counsel for the appellant (Arora) submits that they have received the communication from Punjab & Sind Bank that the proposal submitted by the appellant is not acceptable,» noted an NCLAT order recording the submissions. A three-member bench of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) said it will have to take a «final decision» in the matter as the appeal has been pending for the last several months.

The Delhi government blamed Haryana for the crisis, alleging reduced water supply. The political tension between the two states escalated, with Delhi's then-water minister staging a protest. Delhi's water allocation, based on a 1994 agreement with neighboring states, is set to expire in 2025, raising concerns about future supplies. A government source highlighted the disparity in water allocation: “Delhi's share of water has been constant at 1,005MGD since 1994. Delhi, whose population has grown three times since 1994 to 3 crore, receives 1,005 MGD of water, while Haryana, with a population also of 3 crore, receives 6,500 MGD of river water.” A long-delayed dam project in Himachal Pradesh, intended to supplement Delhi's water resources, remains incomplete.
