New Crypto Mining Sensation BlockDAG Coin Expected to Surge 100x to $0.05, Beats Bitcoin and Litecoin Returns
Crypto mining has quickly gone from an obscure industry to an industry so big that Bitcoin (BTC) mining alone consumes over 0.6% of the United States’s electricity, not to mention other minable coins such as Litecoin (LTC). Similarly to investing in energy stocks, mining crypto pits the allure of financial gain against environmental concerns. But it doesn’t have to be one or the other!

China is quietly reducing its reliance on foreign chip technology
the semiconductors that power the digital economy have proven trickier to master. That has been the source of much anxiety among its political and business elites in recent years. America’s decision in 2022 to halt exports to the country of its whizziest chips and chipmaking tools brought into stark relief the chokehold of China’s geopolitical rivals over the industry.

There’s both the will and a way to unleash India’s digital potential
At first glance, India looks like a digital star, with inexpensive bandwidth, rising enthusiasm for e-commerce, and a fast-growing cluster of innovative companies. Our public digital infrastructure is getting broader and deeper by the day, and the number of internet users is fast approaching 900 million, more than double the figure of 2016. And yet, we still have a lot of catching up to do.

Ad revenue to grow at 10.2% to Rs 1.55 lakh crore in 2024: GroupM
GroupM predicts 10.2% growth in Indian advertising revenue to ₹1,55,386 crore in 2024, down from the 11.3% growth in 2023. Romance and matchmaking could get easier with a little help from our machine friends
Aleksandr Zhadan programmed ChatGPT to screen potential candidates on his behalf so that he didn't have to go through the tedious process of personally interacting with women. The AI LLM 'talked to' over 5,000 women on Tinder, based on Zhadan's filters and communication style to finally recommend one woman. And Zhadan went on to marry his AI-recommended match. For most young people, finding love digitally isn't new. It has been around for a while with dating apps, online matrimony services and location-based virtual dating services. But users of such services have been experiencing fatigue from having to fix dates, meeting several strangers and being ghosted. So, having AI find the perfect match for a 'been-there-done-that' individual — and one that takes over the onerous task of communicating with, and screening, thousands of potential candidates — can be a real game changer for the digital native. Little wonder then that Zhadan's viral post on X is likely to inspire many others to take the AI route to find love. Some of them may even take it to the next post-human level — feeling there is no need for matchmaking when AI can turn into the match, and talk and date like a real person. Why bother with a physical Valentine when you can have a virtual one? Spike Jonze's 2013 SF-rom 'Her', with the protagonist (Joaquin Phoenix) developing a relationship with an AI virtual assistant (Scarlett Johansson), puts this possibility in a fictional context.

Our institutional holding is broad-based, not acquisition target any more: Srikrishnan H, Karnataka Bank
Mangaluru-headquartered private lender Karnataka Bank bets big on technology to drive its business growth. Bank’s MD & CEO Srikrishnan H shares his views on the bank’s future in a chat with ET’s KR Balasubramanyam. Edited excerpts: Karnataka Bank was started with the goal of responding to the needs of the agriculture sector. In the crowded space of present-day banking, how do you see the bank’s future? Our bank adopted an agri- lending model on a large scale much before the regulations on priority sector lending kicked in. We will continue this legacy as we enter the next 100 years with continued focus on rural, agriculture, MSME and retail business. We are implementing technology-based deliveries in each of these verticals.
