Polygon declined by over 4%. Litecoin, Dogecoin and XRP were also trading with cuts. The global cryptocurrency market cap was trading lower around $1.14 trillion, falling 1.73% in the last 24 hours.

cryptocurrency markets were trading mixed on Wednesday ahead of the US CPI data later in the day. Bitcoin (BTC) rose 0.45% to $27,622, whereas Ethereum (ETH) was just below the $1,850 level. Meanwhile, BTC volume in the last 24 hours stood at approximately $13.72 billion, falling 22.75% in the last 24 hours. «Bitcoin traded sideways in the past 24 hours. BTC's price started to recover as the blockchain congestion eases. On the other hand, investors are awaiting the CPI inflation, which is set to be released today,» Edul Patel, CEO and Co-Founder of Mudrex, said. BTC is currently trading at the $27,600 level and facing resistance near the US$28,000 zone, Edul said.

The market cap of new memecoin Pepe (PEPE) has fallen $1.1 billion from its May 6 peak, though on-chain data shows it's still being bought by some crypto whales.

BTC volume in the last 24 hours stood at approximately $13.28 billion, falling 11.59% in the last 24 hours. «After the US Job growth remained strong in April, Bitcoin rose to US$29,800 on Saturday. However, Bitcoin and Ethereum fell in the past 24 hours following Binance halting Bitcoin withdrawals for the second time in a day, citing large volumes,» Edul Patel, Co-founder and CEO at Mudrex, said. The global cryptocurrency market cap was trading higher around $1.16 trillion, falling 2.53% in the last 24 hours. The total volume in DeFi is currently 2.82 billion, 8.45% of the total crypto market 24-hour volume. The volume of all stablecoins is now $29.28 billion, which is 87.74% of the total crypto market 24-hour volume.

Delphi Digital newsletter writer and crypto analyst @cryptunez has made the bold prediction that the Pepe price rise will continue until it overtakes Shiba Inu as the second largest meme coin.

AI based memecoin AiDoge’s crypto presale has gone into overdrive and raised a massive $1 million in just the last 24 hours.

The Pepe Coin price has fallen by 13.5% in the past 24 hours, with its drop to $0.00000227 also representing a 47% dive since the new meme token reached an all-time high of $0.00000431 on Friday.
