Arunachal CM Pema Khandu urges people to campaign for a fair election
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu ahead of assembly polls next year urged the people to campaign for a fair election that is based on performance and not on which candidate can pay how much in cash or kind. Arunachal will go to assembly polls along with the Lok Sabha election next year.Khandu attended a massive BJP meeting at the Seppa General Ground and laid the foundation for BJP district office to be constructed at Wessang. Setting the tone for the ensuing general and assembly elections, Khandu urged the karyakartas of the district to create awareness on the various welfare schemes and projects of both the central and state governments so that the last person in the remotest village can know what the BJP government is doing for him. Hailing BJP, the largest political party of the world, as the only party that can deliver, he said that BJP is the cleanest amongst all political parties.

Israeli military says it uncovers Hamas command centre, weapons at Gaza hospital
Israeli troops found an operational command centre and assets belonging to Palestinian Hamas militants in Gaza’s biggest hospital, Israel’s military said on Wednesday, during a campaign that has stoked global alarm over the fate of civilians inside.Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City has become the main target of the incursion into the territory by Israeli forces, who say the “beating heart” of the Hamas fighters’ operations is headquartered in tunnels beneath it, something Hamas denies.Israeli military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said the troops, who entered the hospital earlier on Wednesday after encircling it for days, had found weapons, combat gear and technological equipment there and were continuing their search. The military also released a video they said showed some of the materials recovered from an undisclosed building in the hospital compound, including automatic weapons, grenades, ammunition and flak jackets.Israel has consistently maintained that the hospital sits above a Hamas headquarters, an assertion the United States said on Tuesday was supported by its own intelligence.Hailing the entry of his forces into the hospital, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement: “There is no place in Gaza that we cannot reach. There are no hideouts.

Japan shares hit three-decade highs, other Asia stocks mixed
shares climbed to highs not seen since 1990 on Monday as strong earnings and offshore demand fuelled a three-week winning streak, while other Asian markets were more mixed with eyes fixed on the U.S. rate outlook. Japan's Nikkei added another 0.6% to break its September peak and bring its gains for the month so far to a whopping 9.3%. Financial shares led the gains on Monday as investors prepare for an eventual end to negative rates, while auto makers have been benefiting from a weak yen and high exports. MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan edged up 0.1%, having climbed 2.8% last week to a two-month high. The Black Friday sales will test the pulse of the consumer-driven U.S.

Hamas battles Israeli forces in north Gaza, amid hopes of hostage deal
Hamas gunmen battled Israeli forces trying to push into Gaza's largest refugee camp on Sunday and at least 11 people were killed by an Israeli air strike on a house, medics said, as hopes rose of a deal to free some hostages from the enclave. The Washington Post said on Sunday that U.S. mediators were close to a deal between Israel and Hamas to free dozens of women and children held hostage in Gaza in exchange for a five-day pause in their war that would help boost emergency aid shipments to Gaza civilians, citing people familiar with the matter. The Post had reported on Saturday that a tentative deal had been reached, but this was denied by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S.

Yediyurappa advised to implement just two guarantees in first year, says Deputy CM
DK Shivakumar on Sunday said BJP's veteran leader BS Yediyurappa had advised him to implement just two election guarantees this year in a revelation that may embarrass the Opposition party. Shivakumar, who is also the president of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), said the BJP leader told him it was enough to implement just two guarantees in the first year when he met him ahead of the swearing-in of the Congress regime in May. He said okay to Yediyurappa with a smile before leaving his house, Shivakumar said speaking at the Indira Gandhi birth anniversary celebrations at the KPCC office. «But we decided to implement all the five guarantees in the first Cabinet meeting itself. The government would implement the fifth guarantee of Yuvanidhi in December,” he added.
