Google's cloud computing arm has added another string to its Web3 bow, with a new partnership to see it becoming a network validator on the Tezos blockchain.

Under the deal, Google Cloud will become Deutsche Börse Group’s preferred partner for cloud consumption for the next ten years with a focus on accelerating development of the exchange's DLT-based digital securities platform D7. The D7 platform will be underpinned by Google Cloud’s secure infrastructure and will have an intelligent data analytics layer via Google Cloud’s BigQuery and Analytics Hub. The partnership also seeks to innovate Deutsche Börse Group’s digital asset business with an institutional-grade offering, including a Digital Assets Business Platform with a cloud-native market infrastructure, combining centralized and decentralized financial infrastructure to deliver crypto spot and derivatives products. The German exchange says it aims to expand these capabilities to further asset classes over time. Additionally, the two companies plan to jointly deploy a data mesh for several of Deutsche Börse Group’s data distribution and data use cases in the cloud. Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, comments: “Our partnership with Deutsche Börse Group underscores the wide range of opportunities and benefits that secure and reliable cloud technology, data analytics, and AI can have for all market participants.”

Tech giant Google is increasing its exposure to digital assets and blockchain through the kicking off of a new solution, Blockchain Node Engine. In a statement, the company calls the solution “a fully managed node-hosting for web3 development” that will allow developers build and deploy new products on various blockchain-based platforms.

BNB Smart Chain, the blockchain developed by major crypto exchange Binance, has announced a strategic partnership with Google Cloud, the cloud computing services arm of multinational tech conglomerate Google. 

Layer-1 blockchain technology, BNB Chain, has announced its partnership with Google Clouds, a collaboration that will see decentralized applications and smart contracts hosted on the protocol gain access to the cloud service provider’s infrastructures.

It’s a shot in the arm for Google Cloud users at risk of cryptocurrency mining attacks. The Google Cybersecurity Action Team (GCAT) has created a threat detection service to shield “poorly configured” accounts that attackers use to mine cryptocurrency.
