Mark Zuckerberg is doubling down on a different tack: He's giving it away. Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, said on Tuesday that he planned to provide the code behind the company's latest and most advanced AI technology to developers and software enthusiasts around the world free of charge. The decision, similar to one Meta made in February, could help the company reel in competitors like Google and Microsoft.

Novi Digital Entertainment, a subsidiary of Disney-owned Star India, has gotten interim relief from the Madras High Court following their plea against the Google Play Store's new billing system. Novi Digital owns and operates India's leading streaming app Disney+ Hotstar. In an interim order on Tuesday, the Madras High Court restrained Google from delisting the Disney+ Hotstar streaming app from its official app store.

Disney has approached the Madras High Court in an ongoing legal challenge against Google's in-app billing system, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters on Tuesday. Disney joins several startups including Unacademy, Kuku FM, TrulyMadly and QuackQuack which have moved the court challenging Google’s notice asking them to either adopt the company’s mandated billing route or risk being removed from its Play Store, ET had reported.

As per the Redseer’s path to profitability report, the Indian start-up fundings and deals has dropped by 70% in FY23 when compared to FY22.
