Dehradun, a 4-year-old girl underwent a 3-hour surgery following an attack by a neighbour's German Shepherd. The dog had attacked the girl on March 18, following which the girl's father lodged a complaint at the local police station on Sunday evening. Recounting the event, the girl's father told TOI that his daughter, accompanied by her mother and elder sister, was heading to a shop around noon when the dog attacked her. Her father said that unleashed dog lunged at his daughter as she passed by, biting the left side of her face in an unprovoked manner. Fortunately, her mother intervened, pulling the dog away by its nape, after which it was taken inside by its owner. The girl was immediately rushed to the hospital, where she underwent a 3-hour surgery to address the facial wound. The father expressed concern, mentioning previous instances of the dog attacking others and highlighting the potential danger. Following the incident, the family had to make daily visits to the hospital for 15 days for follow-up treatments. Doctors informed them that the treatment would continue for six months, noting that the girl was still deeply affected by the incident.

Delhi NCR on Wednesday morning as bomb threats, conveyed via email, prompted evacuations and heightened security measures. Among the institutions targeted were Delhi Public School, Dwarka; Mother Mary School, Mayur Vihar; Sanskriti School; and Amity International School branches in Saket and Noida.

As per a Times of India news report, “The need to reclassify KYCs under various categories arose after it was found that KYCs of many investors were still not updated with PAN and Aadhar, and the linkages were missing. Several of these KYCs were done using documents like utility bills (electricity, telephone), bank account statements etc., which are no longer accepted as valid documents for KYC compliance by Sebi.” The report further said, “Of nearly 11 crore investors, about 7.9 crore or 73% have valid KYC. KYCs of about 1.6 crore investors are under the registered category, who now have limited access to investing, while 12% of the total can’t operate their demat accounts and MF folios.”

In Mother Mary in Mayur Vihar also, the students were sent back home after the information of bomb. It is being told that tests of children are also going on in Mother Mary School. But today when parents brought their children to school, they were sent back saying that it was an emergency holiday. Apart from this, school has been closed in DPS Dwarka and Sanskriti Chanakyapuri also after the bomb call.
