MUMBAI : Investors chasing listing-day gains made a killing on Tata Technologies Ltd, which debuted on the Street with the best gains in two years for an offer above ₹500 crore. The stock gained 162.85% from its issue price of ₹500 to close at ₹1,314.25 on Thursday, the highest since digital analytics firm Latent View Analytics Ltd listed at a 169% premium on 23 November 2021.

Indian equities ended marginally higher on Thursday in a choppy session. Tata Technologies hogged all the limelight on Thursday, the SME IPO of Rockingdeals Circular Economy, which sells refurbished and other products, also doubled on listing. The stock debuted today at a premium of 114% at Rs 300 on NSE SME as against an issue price of Rs 140. After the listing, the stock further rallied and hit an upper circuit of 5% at Rs 315 apiece. Rockingdeals Circular IPO, which was opened for public subscription between November 22 and November 24, received a whopping 312.64 times subscription.

At a 140% premium over the issue price of Rs 500, Tata Technologies' listing price of Rs 1,200 beat Street's estimates. While the stock was expected to double on the listing, it went far beyond, hitting the day's high of Rs 1,400 on the NSE or a 180% uptick over the upper IPO price band. Reacting on the development, Shivani Nyati, Head of Wealth, Swastika Investmart said that the much-anticipated stock market debut was impressive with a blockbuster premium of 173% over its IPO price.

Multibagger IPO: Shares of Gandhar Oil Refinery Ltd listed on Indian bourses at bumper premium during special pre-open session on Thursday. Gandhar Oil IPO listed on NSE at ₹298 per share levels, delivering to the tune of 76 per cent premium against upper price band of ₹169 apiece.

Tata Motors. Tata Technologies shares got listed at ₹1,200 apiece on NSE, a premium of 140% to the issue price of ₹500 per share. This was the best listing in the Indian stock market since November 2021.

₹1,200 per share, 140% higher than the issue price of ₹500, and on the BSE, Tata Technologies shares were listed at ₹1,199.95 apiece. Market analysts projected a huge premium on the back of market optimism, which further contributed to the public issue's benefits.
