Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 2.1 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 0.88 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 0.62 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(down 0.19 per cent) were the top losers on the index. The Nifty Realty index was down 0.03 per cent at 576.0 at the time of writing this report. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 4.2 points at 19570.7, while the BSE Sensex was down 52.27 points at 65727.99. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red. Shares of Reliance Power, Indian Railway Fin, JP Power, YES Bank and NBCC were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Fidel Softech, Artemis Medicare, HLV Ltd., Indian Card Clothing and Century Extrus hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Bombay Metrics Suppl, Penta Gold, Sanco Industries, Tara Chand Logistic and Arvee Laboratories hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.

rupee depreciated 29 paise to end near its two-week low of 83.04 a dollar. The yen was at 147.66 per dollar, just shy of 147.8 per dollar, the lowest since November 4 it touched overnight. The euro was unchanged at $1.0721, having breached a three-month low of $1.0705 overnight.

Vedanta Resources Ltd. and Zambian government-owned ZCCM Investments Holdings Plc (ZCCM-IH) have resolved their disputes over a Zambian copper mining complex, Bloomberg reported. The Zambian Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) were placed under provisional liquidation in 2019 by the former Zambian President Edgar Lungu's administration, who accused Vedanta of dishonesty about expansion plans and tax payments, initiating a series of legal battles.

Vedanta Resources in talks with Standard Chartered Bank for $1.3 billion loan Vedanta Resources (VRL) is in discussions with Standard Chartered Bank for a loan of $1.2 billion to $1.3 billion against brand fee receivables without any restructuring pre-conditions. The loan deal, if sealed, will take care of debt repayments until January without the need to restructure the bonds. The discussions regarding lending rates are currently in progress and the loan could be priced around 14-15% with a duration of three years. The company has appointed advisory firm Morrow Sodali to identify the holders of its $1 billion 13.875% bonds and $1 billion 6.125% bonds due in 2024 and the $1.2 billion 8.95% bonds due in 2025, as reported earlier.

Edited excerpts from an interview: How is your portfolio divided? My portfolio would be 100% equities. Around 5% must be in provident fund that I’ll get on my retirement but I don’t count that in my wealth portfolio. My largest equity holding is in Motilal Oswal shares and that would form roughly 75% of my portfolio.
