Donald Trump will win Arizona but may lose the U.S elections to Kamala Harris, says Fox News poll
former US President Donald Trump in Arizona. According to Newsweek, host Bill Hemmer during a segment on America’s Newsroom eventually noted that US Vice President Kamala Harris could still achieve an Electoral College though without winning Arizona while highlighting about the importance of other battleground states. Newsweek noted that the network’s shift was in accordance with an average of eight polls which were conducted since early September where Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump led in seven polls and Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris led in only one. Is The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and USA Today's non-endorsements a stamp of approval for Trump? Here's what the ex-President is claiming
Former US President Donald Trump has eventually interpreted the non-endorsements from major newspapers which includes The Washington Post, USA Today and Los Angeles Times as a tacit endorsement of his Presidential campaign. According to CNN, Donald Trump asserted that the decision of not endorsing any Presidential candidate eventually reveals that these publications believe US Vice President Kamala Harris is totally unfit for office. CNN reported that this sudden non endorsement marks a pretty significant departure from tradition because if history is being traced, both The Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times have always endorsed Democratic candidates. The leadership of all these prominent newspapers has eventually asserted that their decision to abstain from all kind of endorsements actually aims to rebuild the trust of the reader and combat perceptions related to media bias. Indian companies on global US sanctions list will not impact defence ecosystem
Indian companies sanctioned by the US as part of a global effort to crack down on supply of dual use items to Russia will not have a major impact on the domestic defence ecosystem as most of them are not linked to any major project. Only one of them has limited work with the Defence Research and Development Organisation and the armed forces. Out of the 19 Indian firms on the global list of 400 plus companies sanctioned, several are entities that seem to be just carrying out trading activities by purchasing western equipment including electronics and selling them to Russian companies that have been hit by western sanctions. Some of them, like Denvas Services, which mainly supplies digital kiosks for various services, also have Russian nationals as registered directors and shareholders. It is legal for Indian companies to have foreign nationals as directors and there are no sanctions on conducting work with Russian entities. The company has been accused of procuring US-origin microelectronics for use in its advanced Russian conventional weapons.

Gurgaon’s luxury vs. NYC’s skyline: What $3 million gets you in the global real estate scene
real estate prices between India and the United States. Ahluwalia shared a side-by-side comparison, asking followers, “Which $3M apartment would you prefer?” This question sparked considerable debate about the perceived overpricing of real estate in India, leading many to question the market dynamics. In Gurgaon, an investment of approximately ₹26.8 crore (around $3 million) can secure a 4BHK or 5BHK apartment in a prestigious residential society. Listings from 99 Acres show that this amount affords a property exceeding 5,000 square feet, equipped with amenities like a swimming pool, covered parking, a gym, a spa, and access to green spaces. While this offers a luxurious lifestyle, it is strikingly different from what the same sum can purchase in New York.

Why a Memphis community is fighting Elon Musk's supercomputer
Elon Musk, the world's richest man, is building what he says will be the world's largest supercomputer. Its electricity needs will rival those of 100,000 homes. The supercomputer's neighbors in southwest Memphis, Tennessee, have a problem with that. The project, part of Musk's xAI artificial intelligence business, sits in an old manufacturing plant on more than 550 acres. Before beginning operations there in July, xAI rolled in flatbed trucks loaded with almost 20 mobile power plants, fueled by natural gas, to help meet its electricity demands.

Intel posts $16.6 billion quarterly loss, its biggest ever
Intel on Thursday posted the biggest quarterly loss in its 56-year history, as the onetime highflying chipmaker struggles to turn itself around. The Silicon Valley company said its loss for the third quarter totaled $16.6 billion, a result of $15.9 billion in charges to reflect lowered valuations of company assets and a $2.8 billion restructuring charge associated with cutting more than 15,000 workers. Pat Gelsinger, Intel's CEO, had ordered the restructuring in August in response to shrinking profit margins caused by the costs of catching rivals in manufacturing technology and little success in the booming market for artificial intelligence chips, among other factors.

Iraqi parliament elects Sunni lawmaker al-Mashhadani as speaker, breaking deadlock
Sunni lawmaker Mahmoud al-Mashhadani as its speaker, lawmakers said, breaking a nearly year-long deadlock over the position that had remained vacant due to protracted disagreements among political factions. The stalemate followed a decision by the Federal Supreme Court last November which upended the career of former speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi, Iraq's most powerful Sunni Muslim politician and set the stage for a fight over succession. Mashhadani, who previously served as parliament speaker from 2006 to 2008, was elected to the post again with significant support from the coalition that includes influential Shi'ite parties and Iran-aligned groups along with the State of Law coalition, which is led by former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.

Apple offers modest growth outlook after iPhone sales help beat profit expectations
Apple's AI-enhanced iPhone made a strong start, pushing quarterly sales ahead of Wall Street expectations, but a modest revenue forecast raised questions about whether that momentum will hold over the holiday sales season. A decline in China sales during the fourth quarter also concerned some analysts and investors, helping send shares down 1.4% in after-hours trade, despite surprisingly large overall profit and revenue in that period. Chief Financial Officer Luca Maestri told analysts during a conference call that Apple expects overall revenue to «grow low to mid single digits» during its fiscal first quarter, which ends in December. Analysts had expected revenue growth of 6.65% to $127.53 billion during the quarter, according to LSEG data.

European Commission clears Reliance-Disney merger deal
European Commission has approved the creation of a joint venture, Star India, by Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), The Walt Disney Co. (TWDC), and BTS Investment 1, the latter owned by James Murdoch and Uday Shankar. The commission concluded that the transaction would not raise competition concerns, given the joint venture's negligible activities within the European Economic Area and the limited combined market share of the involved companies. The merger between RIL's Viacom18 and Disney's Star India is expected to conclude in early November, following approvals from the Competition Commission of India, the National Company Law Tribunal and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. A senior official had earlier told ET that some international clearances were awaited.

Amazon denies duping US consumers over Alexa's recording practices
Amazon.com has asked a U.S. judge to throw out a multibillion-dollar consumer lawsuit that claims the tech company's cloud-based voice service Alexa illegally collected and recorded private conversations without consent. Amazon said in a federal court filing on Wednesday in Seattle that the consumers had failed after years of litigation to show it engaged in unfair or deceptive practices. Amazon asked U.S. District Judge Robert Lasnik to rule for the company on the merits of the plaintiffs' claims, which would end the case before a trial.
