This will be the first visit by a Sri Lankan leader to Beijing after Colombo put a moratorium on recurring visits by Chinese research ships to Hambantota port, reportedly due to India's security concerns.

Despite efforts by her parents and the police to rush her to a nearby hospital, she succumbed to her injuries. «The accident happened at around 11.30 pm on Sunday. She came to the temple along with her parents,» police said. «Sometimes children also pull the rope tied to the chariot. It seems like she fell accidently,» police added.
