ANI has reported. IT sources told ANI that the counting of notes up to an amount of ₹50 Crores completed till yesterday but since the number of notes is so high the machines stopped working.

The Congress, in its poll manifesto for the Telangana Assembly Election 2023, had promised six guarantees which would "help realise the dream of Bangaru Telangana", party chief Mallikarjun Kharge had said in a post on X. These six guarantees were categorised as "Mahalakshmi", "Rythu Bharosa", "Gruha Jyothi", "Indiramma Indlu", "Yuva Vikasam" and "Cheyutha".

Reserve Bank of India’s rate-setting panel on December 6 commenced the fifth meeting this financial year. Chevrolet Volt after receiving several complaints about the performance of the plug-in hybrid vehicles.The move follows the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) opening of a preliminary investigation into 73,000 Chevy Volts over reports of abrupt loss of power, failures to restart and other issues.The NHTSA is evaluating 2016 to 2019 Volts manufactured by General Motors.So far, the American regulator has received 61 complaints related to the car’s battery energy control module (BECM).

The government on Thursday clarified that seven bacterial cases detected at AIIMS Delhi have no link to the respiratory infections in children reported in various parts of the world, including China. Media reports had claimed detection of bacterial cases in AIIMS Delhi linked to the recent surge in pneumonia cases in China. The ministry of health said that seven cases were identified as part of an ongoing study conducted at AIIMS Delhi from April to September 2023.

COP28 Summit, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani has today announced the group's "commitment to revolutionise the cement industry" through sustainable practices. In a post on social media site X (formerly known as Twitter), Adani said group companies Ambuja Cements and ACC are leading sustainable practices in the cement industry, adding that more than 90 percent of their production now recycles fly ash and slag. He further noted that the "significant shift" not only enhances the cement's environmental footprint, but also "marks a substantial step towards sustainability".

Nirmala Sitharaman while addressing CII Global Economic Policy Forum 2023 Summit said that the Union Budget 2024 scheduled to be presented on February 1 by the central government is unlikely to make any "spectacular announcements, on December 7." She added that the regular Budget will take place in July and “you'll have to wait until then." Speaking at the Summit in New Delhi, Sitharaman said, “I don’t want to be a spoilsport, but the 1st February Budget is just a vote on account; a budget to meet expenditure till the next government comes to power. No spectacular announcements. You will have to wait till after the general election." Additionally the FM talked about the need of centres for affordable medicines across the world, post-pandemic.

Russian lawmakers on Thursday set the date of the country's 2024 presidential election for March 17, moving Vladimir Putin a step closer to a fifth term in office. Members of the Federation Council, Russia's upper house of parliament, voted unanimously to approve a decree setting the date. «In essence, this decision marks the start of the election campaign,» said Valentina Matviyenko, speaker of the Federation Council. Russia's central election commission is to hold a meeting on the presidential campaign on Friday.

As reported by ANI, the Director of the Women and Child Development Department has been instructed to furnish a detailed report on the probe into the accusations of dowry harassment involving a male doctor at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College related to this incident.
