XRP price has formed a bottom reversal setup which suggests the possibility of an explosive move favoring the bulls. Moreover, Ripple has already breached the pattern, suggesting the start of this rally. Interested investors need to pay close attention to the retest of a crucial support level to capitalize on the incoming move.

The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has requested a two-day extension to respond to Ripple’s motion to strike out a supplemental expert rebuttal report from Dr. Albert Metz. However, many within the crypto community saw this as a move to buy more time or stall the proceedings. 

Ripple, the fintech firm runs its platform, RippleNet, which allows anyone to send and exchange cryptocurrencies or make cross-border transactions. This emerged as a direct competitor to the SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications) banking system.

The San Fransico-based fintech firm has had significant success over the past couple of months. On 12 March, Analisa Torresdenied the SEC’s motion to strike Ripple from using a “Fair Notice Defense.” The SEC alleged that the payments company unlawfully sold XRP as an unregistered security. A position the regulator maintained to this day.

Southern New York District Court Judge Analisa Torres issued two rulings Friday on motions filed in the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) lawsuit against Ripple Labs.

The price of XRP, the cryptoasset affiliated with the American fintech firm Ripple, pumped strongly on Friday, before falling back down over the weekend. The moves came after a federal judge had rejected the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)'s move to strike Ripple’s “fair notice” defense in the case.

As the lawsuit between SEC and Ripple drags on, XRP seems to be benefitting from it.

The San Francisco-based payments company has long argued that the SEC didn’t give adequate notice of considering XRP to be a security. In fact, Brad Garlinghouse, CEO at Ripple hadreiterated the same in a 19 February tweet. Nonetheless, sensing a possible victory, defendant had clamped down on the SEC with different significant strikes.

The ever-lasting feud between the San Fransico-based fintech firm, Ripple Labs and theSEC might be coming to an end soon. Well, in this context, the former SEC Commissioner had a lot of interesting observations.

The never-ending Ripple-SEC lawsuit might just have a potential deadline. In a filing related to its pending class action, dated 23 February 2022, Ripple reportedly agreed to a new date of 18 November 2022. On the contrary, the date, as written on the report, was 26 August 2022. Alas, that’s not all.
