Mukesh Ambani's groundbreaking AI announcement: A message to OpenAI CEO Sam Altman
Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Chairman Mukesh Ambani announced that RIL's Jio would introduce new AI systems, similar to OpenAI's ChatGPT, for India. Ambani expressed a commitment to provide AI accessibility to all Indians and lead in creating India-specific AI models and solutions. Interestingly, this announcement seems to follow OpenAI CEO Sam Altman's comments about India's AI efforts being "hopeless," which he later clarified as being taken out of context.

Leeds Festival 2023: Sam Fender performs best set; halts act due to medical emergency in crowd
Sam Fender’s performance was much appreciated at the Leeds Festival 2023 on Saturday, August 26. The singer’s act drew fans from the North East at the venue. «This is the biggest milestone for us,» said the young singer, as he went on to perform from his two number-one albums. «It's good to be back up North,» said the 29-year-old, adding, «This is party night tonight. I see there's a few Geordies in tonight, always nice to see.» Dressed in a white T-shirt and playing his black-and-white striped electric guitar, Sam Fender told a tale to his fans, with some advice if they get lost. «I came to Leeds when I was 18, me and [bandmate] Dean and I got black-out drunk watching Kasabian. And I got lost and I couldn't find my mates and started doing the (sings) black and white army chant, and that's how I found my mates! So, if you get lost tonight, do that.» Sam Fender and the troupe held the audience’s attention throughout the performance, only drifting a bit.

Sam Bankman-Fried's lawyers renew claim that the FTX founder can't prepare for trial behind bars
Sam Bankman-Fried said Friday that prosecutors have delivered another four million pages of documents for the FTX founder to examine six weeks before trial, making it impossible for the former cryptocurrency executive to adequately review the evidence for an October trial from behind bars. Bankman-Fried lost the right to remain free on bail when a judge decided two weeks ago that the fallen cryptocurrency wiz had repeatedly tried to influence witnesses against him. Prosecutors say he intentionally deceived customers and investors to enrich himself and others, while playing a central role in the company's multibillion-dollar collapse after the equivalent of a bank run. In a letter to U.S. District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan, attorneys Christian Everdell and Mark Cohen renewed their request for the 31-year-old to be freed so he can adequately prepare for his Oct. 3 trial. He'd been living with his parents in Palo Alto, California, under the terms of a $250 million bail deal that was in place since he was brought to the United States from the Bahamas in December. His lawyers appealed the ruling to jail him to the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. And earlier this week, they complained at a hearing that he has had to survive at a Brooklyn lockup on bread, water and peanut butter because they won't provide him with vegan food.
