‘Bagheera’ to arrive on OTT soon! When and where to watch Kannada superhero saga
Bagheera, featuring Sriimurali and Rukmini Vasanth in lead roles, is set to premiere on Netflix on November 21, 2024. Directed by Dr. Suri, the movie has made history as the first Kannada film to secure streaming rights with a global platform, marking a significant step forward for Kannada cinema in the digital arena. Netflix officially announced the film’s release, confirming that it will be available in multiple languages, including Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, ensuring its accessibility to audiences across India. Bagheera originally hit theaters during the competitive Diwali 2024 window, going head-to-head with other big-budget films. Despite the stiff competition, it carved out a strong foothold among viewers, earning critical acclaim and emerging as a box-office success. To date (November 20), the film has grossed ₹31 crore worldwide, with over Rs 18 crore collected from the Indian box office alone, solidifying its status as a profitable venture given its modest budget. The film’s gripping narrative, crafted by KGF and Salaar creator Prashanth Neel, combines a compelling superhero saga with emotional storytelling and high-stakes drama. Bagheera features a stellar ensemble cast, including Prakash Raj, Achyuth Kumar, Sudha Rani, Ramachandra Raju, and others, whose performances enhance its appeal. Arjun Shetty’s stunning cinematography and B. Ajaneesh Loknath’s electrifying score further elevate the movie’s cinematic experience.
