Police also seized 2 AK rifles, 1 other rifle and 1 pistol.” Cachar Superintendent of police Numal Mahatta told media persons, “We have intelligence that armed militants are moving in the border area and accordingly a police team was sent and during a Nakka checking three people were apprehended. They had AK 56 Rifle, a pistol and single barrel gun and ammunition with them. They were interrogated and during interrogation they revealed that some of their colleagues with sophisticated weapons are taking shelter in the foothills of Bhuban hills.”
