Indian stock market is expected to open lower on Tuesday following weakness in Asian markets ahead of key economic data releases in the region. The US markets were shut for a holiday. The Reserve Bank of Australia will announce its interest rate decision, while the purchasing managers index readings from China, India and Hong Kong will also be released today.

US Federal Reserve may not hike rates in September following a jump in the US unemployment rate in August. “Data on Friday showed US job growth picked up in August, but the unemployment rate jumped to 3.8 per cent, while wage gains moderated. The economy created 110,000 fewer jobs than previously reported in June and July," reported Reuters.

unemployment rate increased to 3.8% in August, while the average hourly salary is on the decline. With regard to the September meeting, the Fed is probably going to hold rates, according to the statistics. This was overall encouraging news for the global equity markets.

Bharat Forge share price rose almost 2 per cent to hit its fresh 52-week high of ₹1,096 in intraday trade on BSE on Monday. The stock opened at ₹1,086 against the previous close of ₹1,078.15 and rose 1.7 per cent to scale its fresh one-year peak of ₹1,096. Over the past year, the shares of a diversified company with interests spanning multiple sectors, including automotive, railways, defence, construction, mining, aerospace, marine, and oil and gas, have been on a remarkably bullish trajectory.

Jubilant Foodworks Ltd. traded 0.22 per cent down at Rs 504.65 on Monday at around 11:26AM (IST), while the benchmark BSE Sensex advanced 20.29 points to 65407.45. As many as 19,688 shares changed hands on the counter with a total value of Rs 9944.0 crore. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 652.2 and a 52-week low of Rs 412.2. On the technical charts, the 200-DMA of the stock stood at Rs 482.36, while 50-DMA was at Rs 487.86.

Coal India share price rose 5 per cent in morning trade on BSE on Monday, looking set to extend its winning run into the third consecutive session. The stock opened at ₹238.05 against the previous close of ₹236.85 and rose 4.7 per cent to ₹248.90 in trade so far. The stock traded 5.05 per cent higher at ₹248.80 on BSE around 11:35 am.
