Stability AI, the British artificial intelligence startup behind the Stable Diffusion image generator, has explored selling the company as management faces increased pressure from investors over its financial position. The London-based firm has presented itself as an acquisition target in recent weeks, and held early-stage conversations with multiple companies, according to several people familiar with the matter, who asked not to be identified because the discussions were private. A deal is not imminent and the company could cut the process short without selling, they said.

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation has observed various cases in which beneficiaries get relatively little money in the settlement of Employees Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme (EDLI) claims of deceased members. “It is mandated that specifically in EDLI cases where the amount payable to the beneficiary of a deceased member is less than the Rs 2.5 lakh minimum assurance benefit, it be ensured from MIS that the service rendered by the members under different MIDs, if any, have been transferred and taken into account for the computation of the payable benefit,” stated an EPFO circular issued on November 25, 2023.

Accounting software maker Intuit on Tuesday beat Wall Street estimates for first-quarter profit and revenue, on resilient demand for its artificial intelligence-infused products that help businesses manage their financial needs. Products offered by Intuit include tax-preparation software TurboTax, personal finance portal Credit Karma, and QuickBooks that help small businesses.

TCS: The ₹17,000 crore-share buyback programme of India’s top software services exporter Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will open on 1 December. The buyback, where investors can sell to the company their shares at an offer price of ₹4,150 apiece, will close on 7 December, TCS said in a regulatory filing on Tuesday. The IT bellwether aims to repurchase up to 40.9 million shares (1.12% of the total equity share capital) at ₹4,150 apiece in a buyback valued at ₹17,000 crore.

Infosys has decided to tweak its IOE (internet of everything) organizational structure for its delivery and consulting functions as it focuses to adopt generative artificial intelligence in its offerings, ET has learnt. The new IoE organisation structure will be headed by AVP & global delivery head – IOT (Internet of Things) Vikas Gupta, along with AVP and Senior Principal Technology Architect, Krishnananda Shenoy.
