Signature Global will invest Rs 1,000-1200 crore per year to purchase land for the development of housing projects and encash strong consumer demand, its Chairman Pradeep Aggarwal has said. In an interview with PTI, he highlighted that housing demand has been very strong in the past two years across all segments, be it affordable, mid-income, premium, luxury or super luxury. Aggarwal expects the demand momentum to sustain on better economic growth. «We will be investing Rs 1,000-1200 crore every year for outright purchase of land to achieve our growth plan,» Aggarwal said.

Key highlights of the event include the screening of a documentary titled 'Jal Shakti Abhiyan 2019 to 2023'- a public-led movement marching towards water security' and unveiling of two books — 'Jal Shakti Abhiyan: 2019 to 2023' and '101 Water Champions of Jal Jeevan Mission' and talks by 'Women Water Warriors'.

Coal India Ltd hit a record 703.91 million tonnes (MT) in this fiscal until March 7, surpassing the last fiscal's output of 703.20 MT, the Coal Ministry said on Friday. Highlighting that several key measures were implemented to enhance production, the ministry said Coal India maintains an ample stock of 72.70 MT as of 7th March 2024. "Coal India Limited (CIL) has achieved a record production of 703.91 million tonnes of coal up to 7th March 2024 during the current fiscal, surpassing last financial year's production of 703.20 MT by an impressive margin of 26 days," the ministry said in a release. Adoption of the Mine Developer and Operator model, mechanization and modernization of CIL mines, both Underground & Opencast, undertaking new projects, expanding existing projects, have bolstered coal production, it said.
