RBI directs Federal Bank to stop issuing co-branded credit cards
Reserve Bank of India has directed Kerala-headquartered Federal Bank to stop issuing co-branded credit cards, a high-margin business for the bank. The bank received the regulatory direction Tuesday. The bank has three co-branded credit cards with partnerships with OneCard Scapia Technology Pvt. Ltd and FI Brand Pvt Ltd, targeting mostly the new generation customers. The bank on Wednesday said it is in the process of rectifying the areas that are deficient and will seek regulatory clearance prior to resumption of new issuance.

Vodafone Idea (Vi) has surrendered fractional spectrum in the 900MHz and 1800MHz bands in select circles as the airwaves were incompatible with its latest network technology. "VIL has opted for extension of required spectrum in both Uttar Pradesh (West) and West Bengal circles, releasing only the fractional spectrum that cannot be used with the newer technology and as such not currently required," a Vi spokesperson said.
