Wipro reports muted Q2, net profit almost flat at Rs 2,667 crore
Wipro, an erstwhile software bellwether now undergoing a protracted turnaround, on Wednesday reported a marginal on-year increase in the September-quarter net profit that declined nearly 8% sequentially, mirroring an industry-wide sluggishness in deal conversions and cautious discretionary spending in primary revenue-generating markets either side of the Atlantic water margin. India's fourth-largest software company also gave a tepid outlook, citing an «uncertain» business environment. Another sharp headcount reduction and circumspect business projections were worse than the grim forecast provided earlier by larger peers, such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys, for a near $250-billion outsourcing industry that accounts for one-eighth weighting on the Nifty.

For the Zhen Hua 15, it was just a 42-day journey, but for India’s newest mega port, the arrival of the Chinese ship marked the end of a three-decade-long wait. The port, which is fully owned by the Kerala government, is being built by Adani Vizhinjam Ports Pvt.

Road on Moon? Scientists find new tech for construction on lunar surface
lunar dust, consisting primarily of dark gray lunar volcanic rock, could potentially be used as a raw material for constructing roads and landing pads on the moon. The finding is based on experiments conducted on Earth, where simulated lunar soil was exposed to concentrated sunlight through large lenses, as reported by Space dot com. Unlike Earth, the moon lacks erosion processes caused by wind and water, resulting in the presence of sharp-edged particles in lunar dust.
