Renewable energy player BluPine Energy on Monday said it has completed the acquisition of 369 MW solar power assets from Acme Group. The 369 megawatts of solar capacity power assets are spread across Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Karnataka and augment its total renewable capacity to 2.4 gigawatts, BluPine Energy said in a statement. Neerav Nanavaty, CEO of BluPine Energy, said, «The renewable energy sector in India continues to witness remarkable growth. We have high-quality solar assets in our portfolio, further solidifying our commitment to driving positive change in India's energy sector.»

The settlement pact paves the way for the introduction of Yesafili, a proposed biosimilar to Eeylea (aflibercept) injection, in the Canadian market, Biocon Biologics said in a regulatory filing. Under the terms of the agreement, Biocon Biologics has secured a launch date for the product no later than July 1, 2025, it added.

Devon Conway is all but ruled out of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) as he will be sidelined for at least eight weeks due to the thumb injury he sustained during the T20I series against Australia last month. The 32-year-old Conway will undergo surgery on his left thumb which got injured during the second T20I in Auckland on February 23. He missed the first Test which ended on Sunday and after further medical examination, he has been advised surgery. «Devon Conway has a small fracture in the joint of his thumb. So he will undergo surgery this week and hopefully he will good in somewhere between an eight-week period,» New Zealand head coach Gary Stead said in a media interaction. Conway was bought by Chennai Super Kings for a base price of Rs 1 crore in the 2022 auction. The left-handed batter has amassed 924 runs in 23 matches in the IPL at an average of 46.12 with a strike rate of 141. 28.

Aditya Birla Group plans to consolidate its non-banking finance companies (NBFCs) to create better synergies and ensure optimal utilisation of resources and greater economies of scale, following approval by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), said people aware of the matter. The Mumbai bench of the NCLT recently approved the merger of a half-dozen Birla group companies, including Umang Commercial Company Pvt Ltd, Aditya Birla Online Fashion Pvt Ltd and Birla Family Investments Pvt Ltd, into Birla Group Holdings Pvt Ltd (BGHPL), a key holding company of the Aditya Birla Group. The group also expects to achieve efficient utilisation of capital for enhanced development and growth of the consolidated business under a single entity, including its non-banking financial business, which will continue to constitute its core business, said the people.

IFFCO has moved the NCLT against Swan Energy Ltd (SEL) and their joint venture Triumph Offshore to restrain their JV firm from passing any resolution without its approval and issuing any share/security to the lenders against loans. Seeking an injunction against any such proposal, IFFCO, in its petition filed before the Ahmedabad bench of the NCLT, alleged that Triumph Offshore is pre-paying the debt, which may result in dilution of its shareholding in the joint venture firm and is detrimental to its interest. IFFCO has moved the NCLT under sections 241 and 242 of the Companies Act 2013, alleging oppression and mismanagement. It has prayed to restrain Swan Energy and Triumph Offshore «from passing any board resolution without the prior written approval of petitioner (IFFCO), with reference to the substitution of the bank term loan with promoters loan or from issuing any shares/security or any instrument convertible into equity in favour of R2 (SEL) or any third party, which may result into diluting shareholder of the petitioner».
