Following this news, Solana was up 5% in early trade, CoinDCX said.

Litecoin, Solana, and Shiba Inu fell over 2-3%, while Cardano, XRP, and BNB also declined.

XRP, Cardano, and Solana were trading with gains, while Dogecoin, Polkadot, Litecoin, and Shiba Inu were trading with cuts. Meanwhile, the global cryptocurrency market cap was trading higher, around $1.05 trillion, rising 0.18% in the last 24 hours. The crypto market was range-bound over the weekend and continues to trade sideways. The crypto fear and greed index, too, remained steady over the weekend. The index is currently in the fear zone with a score of 40/100, said Parth Chaturvedi, Investments Lead at CoinSwitch Ventures. «All major cryptos by market capitalization are trading marginally in the green. BTC and ETH continue to trade in a narrow range around their respective anchor levels of $26k and $1.6k. However, recent whale activity pertaining to BTC underlines optimism among investors,» Parth said.

The United States' equities markets are on a recovery path. The S&P 500 Index (SPX) surged 2.50% last week to record its best week since June. Even though Bitcoin (BTC) also attempted a relief rally, the bulls could not sustain the higher levels. In the end, Bitcoin finished the week with a marginal loss of 0.5%.

The XRP price has remained more or less stable today, with its 0.2% gain in the past 24 hours coming as the wider cryptocurrency market moves by a similarly modest percentage.
