Lokayukta police registered an FIR against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and others in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment case, official sources told news agency PTI on Friday.
This development comes a day after Lokayukta police started seeking 'legal clarification' to register an FIR against the Karnataka CM, who has been under political fire over allegations connecting him to the MUDA 'scam'.
On Wednesday, a special court ordered a Lokayukta police probe against Siddaramaiah in connection to the case.
Earlier, Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot ordered an investigation against Siddaramaiah on the allegations of illegalities in the allotment of 14 sites to his wife B M Parvathi by MUDA.
One of the petitioners in the MUDA case, Snehamayi Krishna, based on whose petition the court directed the Lokayukta police to book a case against Siddaramaiah, expressed concern on Thursday as no case was registered.
