Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday launched raids across 17 locations in poll-bound Jharkhand and West Bengal as part of its money laundering probe into alleged illegal infiltration of Bangladeshi nationals. Bangladesh International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) Md Tajul Islam has written to Inspector General of Police Md Moinul Islam, seeking action to issue a red notice through Interpol for ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and her aides, a media report said on Tuesday. As the Northeast Gas Grid is likely to become operational by 2026, the deposit of 6 million MMSCMD of natural gas can be monetised by the existing producers,» Mediratta said. «This will add to the country's energy security as IGX will help gas producers sell the surplus gas to the other regions,» he said, while speaking at a seminar on 'Gas Market Development for North East' here on Friday.
