Netflix renews ‘Back to 15’ for Season 3; Here are all the details
Back to 15 has been streaming on Netflix since February 2022 and has been on the Top 10 list for some time. Although not its top show, for Netflix, Back to 15 is popular enough. The comedy series shows the life of 30-year-old Anita (played by Camila Queiroz) who, bored with her present life, travels back in time to her past when she was 15 years old (played by Maisa Silva). Anita, of course, goes to high school again. But life is not what it seems even back then, and instead of fixing others, she realizes that she needs to fix herself. In good news for shows’ fans, Netflix Brazil has confirmed the renewal of Back to 15 for Season 3. The announcement was made on Twitter on July 17, 2023. Since actors Camila Queiroz and Maisa Silva were both tagged in the tweet, we can assume they will be reprising their roles in Season 3 of Back to 15. Also, there may be another time leap (or back in time) on the show. «Back to 15» has already received acclaim for its humorous and heartfelt storytelling, as well as its relatable characters. The series has garnered commercial success and has emerged as one of the most beloved Brazilian shows on Netflix. Bruna Vieira, who is the author of the book that Back to 15 is based on, also tweeted after the renewal announcement, saying, “Today I woke up feeling renewed what about you????” (sic)

Internationalize the rupee while a BRICS currency loses traction
Earlier this month the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released a report on the rupee’s internationalization. If our currency is used to settle our export/import transactions, it shifts exchange-rate risk to our counterparts, which is a big plus for our firms. In parallel, there has also been talk about a BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) currency along special-drawing-rights lines.

Coral reefs in peril: Research reveals fishing gear plastics inflict severe damage to underwater ecosystem
Fishing gear plastic formed nearly three-quarters of the plastic debris documented through underwater visual surveys of coral reefs across the Indian, Pacific, and Atlantic oceans, new research published in the journal Nature said. Revealing the extent of plastic pollution on coral reefs, an international team of researchers from the California Academy of Sciences (US), University of Sao Paulo (Brazil), University of Oxford (UK), and other collaborators found that debris increased with depth and is correlated with proximity to marine protected areas. The team conducted more than 1,200 visual surveys across 84 shallow and mesophotic reef ecosystems located in 14 countries. Mesophotic, or 'twilight zone', coral reefs exist between 30 and 150 metres deep. Of the total debris, 88 per cent was macroplastics larger than about five centimetres. Human-derived debris was found in nearly all locations studied, including some of the planet's most remote and pristine coral reefs, such as those adjacent to uninhabited islands in the central Pacific. The lowest density of plastic pollution was seen in the Marshall Islands, a coral island group in eastern Micronesia (Oceania), while the highest was recorded at Comoros, an island chain off the southeast coast of Africa, at nearly 84,500 items per square kilometre.
