TAQA looks to bet big on Adani’s power business with $2 billion investment
Abu Dhabi National Energy Co. PJSC (TAQA) is looking to double down in India and is evaluating a large exposure in the expansive power businesses of Gautam Adani that span thermal generation to transmission, clean energy and green hydrogen, said people aware of the matter. TAQA, among the largest integrated utilities in Europe, West Asia and Africa and also the second largest stock on Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), is keen to deploy $1.5-2.5 billion in Adani Group firms or in a single entity, said the sources mentioned above.

Crypto asset businesses in the United Kingdom will be required to comply with Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing rules, known collectively as the Travel Rule, beginning Sept. 1, a statement from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) reiterated Aug. 17. This will bring the U.K. into conformity with FATF standards set in 2019.

Ayana Renewable investors plan stake sale to raise up to $800m
Ayana Renewable Power plan to offload a part of their stake to raise as much as $800 million ('6,650 crore), with a portion of it to be used for funding the expansion plans of the renewable energy platform, people aware of the development said. The investors are in discussions to hire an investment bank to run the sale process, they said. The National Investment & Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) owns a 51% stake in Ayana, while British International Investment (formerly CDC Group) holds 32% and Eversource Capital-managed Green Growth Equity Fund has the remaining 17% stake.

Cotton textile, apparel companies see 8-10% rise in exports
Inflation and economic slowdown in advanced economies, coupled with piled up inventory since the pandemic, have caused India's apparel export clients to defer orders or request lower prices, said an industry representative. Exporters are looking forward to the Christmas season in the next quarter to alleviate the ongoing slump. "Cotton textile exports rose 6% in July and the July-September quarter is expected to maintain that momentum," said a representative from the cotton textile industry.
