Hurricane Lee: Powerful storm now turning toward Canada’s East Coast
Hurricane Lee has begun its anticipated northward turn toward Canada. As of 9 a.m. Wednesday, the storm was about 745 kilometres south-southwest of Bermuda, moving north-northwest at around nine kilometres an hour, with maximum sustained winds of 185 km/h.A tropical cyclone information statement has been issued across all three Maritime provinces and parts of Quebec, warning that the intense system is likely to bring heavy rain and wind in the days ahead.“The existing tropical airmass over Atlantic Canada will be further enhanced as the hurricane continues northward,” the statement said.“This weather pattern will cause an approaching front over the Maritimes to become stationary and increase the risk of heavy rainfall over the Maritime provinces tomorrow and Friday prior to Lee’s arrival.”It said with the expanding size of the hurricane and a long northward trajectory, building surf conditions and rip currents are expected along Nova Scotia’s Atlantic Coast in the coming days, especially Friday.11 am AST: Hurricane #Lee is expected to move toward New England and Atlantic Canada.

J&J’s $40 Billion Split-Off Sets Stage for Pharma, Medical Tech Expansion
Johnson & Johnson plans to tap billions in proceeds from the recent split-off of its consumer-health business to fuel growth in pharmaceuticals and medical technology through capital allocation, which could include new acquisitions and investments in product offerings and robotics. The New Brunswick, N.J.-based healthcare giant in May sold shares in Kenvue, which owns brands such as Band-Aid and Tylenol, through an initial public offering that netted J&J $13.2 billion in cash. In August J&J shed about 80% of its Kenvue shares through a roughly $40 billion split-off, whereby some investors chose to trade in their shares of J&J for Kenvue ones.

Northern Lights in Canada; Here’s the list of all the provinces where you may get to watch the Auroras next week
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration According to their official website, the term «aurora» refers to the luminous glow generated when electrons from space descend along Earth's magnetic field and collide with atoms and molecules in the upper atmosphere. This collision occurs in a circular or oval pattern, with the centre situated around Earth's magnetic pole. The resulting interaction produces light, similar to how electrons passing through the gas in a neon light encounter different gases like neon, leading to the production of various coloured light bulbs.
