The company plans to use ₹150 crore from the IPO proceeds for strategic investments, acquisitions, and inorganic growth, while ₹392 crore could be used for investments in customer acquisition and retention, technology, and organic growth initiatives. Congress on Thursday alleged that the «Adani scam» has exposed the role tax havens play in hiding large-scale violation of Indian laws, and said the issue should have discussed at the recent G20 Summit. Suven Pharmaceuticals jumped 6.6% to Rs 551 in Thursday's trade on BSE after the Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a Rs 9,589 crore foreign direct investment (FDI) proposal by a Cyprus-based firm in the company. As per the proposed deal, Cyprus-based Berhyanda will acquire 76.1% equity shares of Hyderabad-headquartered Suven Pharmaceuticals. With the new deal, the aggregate foreign investment in Suven Pharmaceuticals will increase to 90.1%. An official statement released after the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) meeting also mentioned that this approval was granted following a thorough evaluation of the proposal by relevant departments, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), and the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). At 10.55 am, the stock was trading 1.4% higher on BSE.

NEW DELHI : The union cabinet on Wednesday cleared the third phase of the eCourts project with an outlay of ₹7,210 crore and allocated ₹1,650 crore for providing 7.5 million additional free cooking gas connections. In another meeting the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs cleared a proposal for foreign direct investment of up to ₹9,589 crore by Cyprus-based Berhyanda Ltd in Suven Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

Advent International has entered into a definitive agreement in December last year to acquire a 50.1% stake in Hyderabad-based Suven Pharmaceuticals, a listed contract research and manufacturing services (CRAMS) firm promoted Venkat Jasti and his family members for Rs 6,313 crore paying ₹495 per share.
