"BJP will not be able to open their account in Kerala..." Sachin Pilot slams BJP, expresses confidence in UDF win
Congress leader Sachin Pilot slammed BJP stating that the party won't be able to win a single seat in Kerala or any southern state and expressed strong confidence in the United Democratic Front (UDF) and the INDIA bloc predicting a clean sweep for the coalition in the state. «I think the response is fantastic. People have decided to vote for the UDF. In Kerala, all people across community religion and across caste have decided to fully support the INDIA alliance and UDF will get 20 0ut 0f 20 seats here. BJP will not be able to open their account in kerala or in any other southern states,» Pilot told ANI. Kerala sees a straight face-off between the Congress and the Left in most of the 20 seats with the BJP hoping to dent the tradition by putting up a good show.

India sets up task force to accelerate EV drive
NEW DELHI : To promote the country’s electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem in line with its vision of Viksit Bharat, the Centre is in the process of establishing a task force to create a roadmap for the industry, according to a letter sent by the ministry of heavy industries (MHI) to automakers that Mint has seen. MHI will finalise the setup of this task in collaboration with Ficci (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) and other agencies. “The EV task force has been set up to engage with stakeholders through workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather their insights and recommendations on various aspects of electric vehicle adoption and infrastructure development," read the letter.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday claimed that if «Modi-Shah sarkar» comes back to power, then the democracy will end in the country. Targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah while addressing a public meeting in Madhya Pradesh's Satna, Kharge further claimed that they will also scrap the Constitution made by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. «If you want to keep alive the Constitution, the right to vote for women, labourers and farmers, then vote for the Congress and its 'panja' (hand) symbol,» Kharge told the gathering. «Democracy will end if Modi-Shah's government comes to power,» Kharge claimed addressing the public meeting in Satna in support of Congress candidate Siddharth Kushwaha.

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. slipped 0.76 per cent to Rs 169.55 in Tuesday's trade. It hit a high of Rs 173.3 and low of Rs 169.4 during the session. On the technical charts, the 200-DMA of the stock stood at Rs 123.6, while the 50-DMA was at Rs 172.49. If a stock trades above 50-DMA and 200-DMA, it usually means the immediate trend is upward. On the other hand, if the stock trades below 50-DMA and 200-DMA, it is considered a bearish trend and if trades between these averages, then it suggests the stock can go either way.

L&T manufactures hydrotreating reactor for refinery in Mexico
Engineering and construction conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Tuesday said it has manufactured a hydrotreating reactor for the Antonio Dovali Jaime Refinery at Salina Cruz, in Mexico. The reactor has been dispatched for Mexico from the company's A M Naik Heavy Engineering Complex at Hazira in Gujarat. «Equipped with critical Cr-Mo-V metallurgy, the hydrotreating reactor is based on a technology developed by France-headquartered Axens. It has been manufactured at the Hazira Complex in a record 15 months,» it said in a statement. The reactor uses hydrotreating process, which is a catalytic conversion in petroleum refining, among others, for removing impurities such as nitrogen and sulphur compounds from hydrocarbon streams.
