The government is selling as much as 97 million shares (including the green shoe option) in the OFS and has set the floor price at ₹212 a share. The stock fell 3.3% to ₹219.10 on Thursday.

general elections shall impact the sales of laptops, desktops and other IT hardware in the first half of 2024 as the government will slow down IT procurement spending, industry experts told ET. In the commercial segment, IT hardware sales in the first half of the calendar year are expected to remain flattish at the year-earlier levels of about 2.9 million units which was already comparatively weak, according to data from market tracker firm International Data Corporation (IDC). When compared to the first half of calendar year 2022, the segment might see a decline of 24%, IDC said. Consumer sales might also follow a similar pattern as sales might drop by 17% to 3.4 million units when compared to the first half of 2022, IDC predictions showed.

ARCs) are lining up for the bankrupt ACCIL Corp's ₹270 crore debt in what is turning out to be a rare 100% recovery for banks. The asset in question is an ACCIL-owned hotel in Jaipur, which has been put on block by lenders to recover their dues. Last month, Omkara ARC beat competitor Asset Reconstruction Company of India (Arcil) with a ₹38 crore cash offer to Chennai-based Indian Bank in a Swiss challenge. Separately, Arcil has emerged as the preferred bidder to take over the ₹113 crore debt owed to Union Bank of India, the lead lender in the case.

National Asset Reconstruction Company of India (NARCL) has proposed to acquire the debt of Jaiprakash Associates from banks for ₹10,000 crore, making it the largest offer made so far by the government-backed asset reconstruction company (ARC) that started operations just over two years ago. If a majority of lenders sell their debt, ARC will acquire the cement, hospitality, real estate, fertiliser and construction businesses of Jaiprakash Associates Ltd (JAL) — a flagship company of the Manoj Gaur-promoted Jaypee Group, said people with knowledge of the matter. In fiscal 2023, NARCL acquired 62%, or ₹9,234 crore, of Jaypee Infratech's debt, offering lenders a 39% recovery following an uncontested Swiss challenge auction.

Healthium (formerly Sutures India), 99.8% owned by Apax Partners is the fourth largest surgical suture manufacturer in the world with a market share of about 18% in India. These funds were shortlisted this weekend after the first round of screening based on non-binding bids submitted last week which largely value the company between Rs 6300 crore to Rs 6500 crore. A formal sale process was launched earlier this year with Jefferies mandated to sell the company with close to two dozen funds including Blackstone, Partners Group, Canadian pension funds, picking up the information memorandum and signing non-disclosure agreements.
