Hundreds feared dead on France's Mayotte after Cyclone Chido
death toll from cyclone Chido's passage across Mayotte would be in the hundreds, perhaps even thousands, as France rushed in rescue workers and supplies. Their efforts will be hindered by the damage to airports and electricity distribution in the French Indian Ocean territory. Even before the cyclone's passage, clean drinking water was already subject to chronic shortages.

Keerthy Suresh-Antony Thattil start their married life with a kiss! Photos go viral
Antony Thattil in a dreamy wedding held in Goa, delighting her fans with glimpses of both traditional and Western ceremonies. The celebrations began with two Hindu rituals, where Keerthy stunned in exquisite sarees. For the first ceremony, she chose a vibrant yellow and green Kanjeevaram saree by Anita Dongre, breaking away from conventional reds. Adding a personal touch, she had a poem woven into the fabric. Her traditional South Indian bridal look was completed with layered necklaces, hair accessories, and arm jewellery. In the second Hindu ceremony, she embraced the classic bridal red, wearing a deep red saree paired with a matching blouse. This saree, deeply sentimental, belonged to her mother and symbolized Keerthy’s way of honoring her mother’s love and legacy. She complemented the look with an ornate diamond and ruby jewellery set that matched the saree’s richness. For her official wedding attire, Keerthy donned a parrot green madisar saree, draped in the Iyengar Kattu style, a nod to her Tamil Iyengar heritage. Antony complemented her perfectly, wearing a gold-cream vesti.

Delhi: Congress' Sandeep Dikshit clarifies alliance with AAP was "never in question", slams Kejriwal's leadership
Sandeep Dikshit clarified that the alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was «never in question», responding to discussions about the possibility of an alliance. Speaking to on Sunday, Dikshit stated, «The alliance was never in question. The AAP kept launching the idea because they feared losing if they fought alone. But it is good that the alliance did not happen.» He went on to slam Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's leadership over the past decade, claiming it has led to the breakdown of the city's systems. «In the last 10 years, he (Arvind Kejriwal) has brought Delhi to a place where all the system has collapsed. These 10 years of failure will make him lose,» Dikshit said.

PSU banks & financiers to benefit from govt capex; bullish on 6 IT stocks: Chakri Lokapriya
Chakri Lokapriya, Managing Partner, RSB LLP, says the technology sector, especially large-cap and mid-cap companies, is poised to benefit from the US economic recovery starting in January, driven by the new Trump administration's tax cuts that are expected to boost discretionary spending. Indian IT firms like KPIT, Mindtree, and Cyient may gain from increased engineering research and development spending, which has been stagnant. The cloud computing sector is also set to grow by 35-40%, benefiting major players like Infosys, TCS, and HCL Technology. Lokapriya says he would be ready to invest in Infosys, TCS, HCL Technology, Cyient, KPIT, and Mindtree. What is your take on the entire banking and financial space, especially after that brokerage note from UBS?.. It was quite a bearish note. While the private banks seem to be holding up rather steady in Friday’s trade, it is the PSU banks and the broader financials that seem to be taking it on the chin, the likes of Shriram Finance, IOB, Canara Bank, all these banks are not doing well right now. How would you like to play this banking space and do you believe that private banks can outperform the PSU banks going ahead? Chakri Lokapriya: The note kind of talks about everything that was already largely known in terms of the loan growth slowing down.
