I've already seen downfall, that phase developed patience: Manu Bhaker
pistol shooter Manu Bhaker has said that the struggles she had faced early on in her career has helped her develop patience and resilience. Bhaker, 22, created history at the Paris Games by becoming the first Indian in the post Independence era to win two medals in a single edition of the Olympics. The star shooter is least bothered about her critics and is simply focussed on her career. «I am really happy that I have already seen the downfall phase, it has taught me a lot of patience. It doesn't really bother me, what people talk on the social media. Honestly, I don't need to cope up with that, why would I need to do that?

More than just optics! Data centres, 5G push powering fibre cable boom
data centre boom globally, in addition to rapid 5G rollouts, is silently propelling the growth of another ancillary industry: Optic fibre cables (OFCs). With top dollar expected to flow into the segment in the next decade, service providers and fibre manufacturers are looking to simultaneously strengthen deployment locally and double down on building capacities and boosting exports. Investment banking firm Avendus Capital expects around $2 billion capital expenditure towards data centre fibre alone over the next decade, with global private equity funds eyeing the India opportunity. Deloitte estimates that overall fibre deployment in India will be 4 million kilometres in 2024, expected to expand at 12- 15% over the next two years. Manufacturers are also looking to harness India’s already established credentials. According to data from the Ministry of Commerce, India’s OFC exports to more than 100 countries in FY24 totalled Rs 39,600 crore. Nearly half of the shipments were to major European nations, including Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, Italy, and the Czech Republic.

Canada names India in cyberthreat list, accuses it of 'likely' spying
«We assess that Indian state-sponsored cyber threat actors likely conduct cyber threat activity against Government of Canada networks for the purpose of espionage,» the report said. The development comes as the bilateral relationship has gone south since Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said a year ago that Canada had credible evidence that agents of the Indian government were involved in the murder of Canadian Sikh activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in British Columbia in June 2023, a charge dismissed as absurd by India.
