The Indian envoy could be seen leaving the premises in his vehicle, while a lone protestor raised the Khalistani flag outside the Gurdwara. There has been a rise in pro-Khalistani incidents by extremist elements in countries like Canada, the UK, Australia and even the US. In a shocking incident in July, a group of Khalistan extremists had indulged in an arson attack on the Indian consulate in San Francisco. After a probe was launched into the incident, India requested evidence from the US authorities regarding suspects of the attack under the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) in connection with the case. In a separate incident in March, the Indian Consulate in San Francisco came under attack from suspected Khalistani elements.

Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted in the death of George Floyd, was stabbed in federal prison on Friday and seriously injured, the Associated Press said, citing a person familiar with the matter. Floyd's death in 2020 unleashed a wave of protests worldwide against police brutality and racism after Chauvin, who is white, knelt on the handcuffed Black man's neck for more than nine minutes in a murder caught on cellphone video. The Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed an unidentified inmate was assaulted at the Federal Correctional Institution in Tucson in Arizona, but declined to confirm if it was Chauvin. Chauvin, 47, was stabbed by another inmate at the prison, the news agency said, citing a source who was not authorized to discuss the attack and sought anonymity. The New York Times also reported Chavin was stabbed, citing two people with knowledge of the matter. In its statement, the Bureau said employees of the medium security prison responded to the attack and «initiated life-saving measures» for one individual, who was taken by emergency medical services to a hospital for treatment. No employees were injured and the public was never in danger from the incident at 12:30 p.m. MST.

Niagara Falls and exploded in a fiery wreck were identified Friday as a western New York husband and wife whose family owns a lumber business and several hardware stores in the Buffalo area.The Niagara Falls Police Department named the couple as Kurt P. Villani and Monica Villani, both 53, of Grand Island, New York, a leafy Buffalo suburb close to the falls.Online business records and the company website indicate the victims’ family owns Gui’s Lumber and seven Ace Hardware locations in western New York, his family operating the business since the mid-1980s.

Home Alone movies are now available for streaming on Disney+. Originally bouncing between platforms like Netflix and Max, the films found their home on Disney+ after Disney''s acquisition of Fox a few years ago. The most recent installment, "Home Sweet Home Alone," released in 2021, is exclusively on Disney+. Premiering on November 16, 1990, the first Home Alone film, made on an $18 million budget with modest promotion, became a Hollywood success story. Initially considered fortunate to break even, the film spent an astonishing 12 weeks as the number-one-grossing movie, ultimately earning $476 million at the box office. The plot revolved around the McAllister family accidentally leaving young Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) behind during a Christmas trip to Paris. Kevin, initially enjoying his solitude, defends his home against bumbling burglars (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) with inventive traps. Known for its slapstick comedy, the film became one of the highest-grossing comedies of all time. The 1992 sequel, "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York," continued the story in the Big Apple, grossing $360 million, though not reaching the heights of its predecessor. The 1997 sequel, without Culkin, introduced new characters defending their home with familiar traps. However, it only grossed $79 million, significantly less than its predecessors. Subsequent made-for-TV sequels in 2002 and 2012 followed, with «Home Sweet Home Alone» being the last release in 2021. Whether it's an annual tradition for long-time fans or a first-time viewing for newcomers, Disney+ is the go-to platform for those wanting to experience the enduring and surprisingly successful Home Alone movie series.
