In an interview at a Geo News programme, he said the tenure of the National Assembly will end on August 12 and before that, the assembly will be dissolved.

Tamba was attacked by motorcycle-borne assailants in the Islampura area of Lahore in Pakistan and was rushed in critical condition to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, the sources said. Singh, 49, died of cardiac arrest in Jinnah Hospital Lahore in the wee hours of May 2, 2013, after being comatose for nearly a week following a brutal assault by inmates including Tamba, inside the high-security Kot Lakhpat jail. Tamba, whose father's name is Sarfaraz Javed, was born in Lahore in 1979 and was a close associate of the LeT founder.

Pakistan news: Lighting strike amid heavy downpours in parts of Balochistan and Punjab killed at least 14 people in the two provinces on Satutday. A Geo News report, quoting officials said four of the 14 were killed in Surab, Dera Bugti, and Pishin districts of Balochistan after westerly waves entered the province, while two youths, Farid Ahmed and Jabir Ahmed, were sitting in a garden of Tanak area in Surab district, when a lighting kill them on the spot. The unusual delay in the announcement of results vitiated the atmosphere as several parties cried foul play and some resorted to protests. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the results of 264 out of 265 contested seats.
