Dogecoin — plunged as much as 12 per cent in Wednesday's trade, wiping out entire weekly gains, data from Coinmarketcap suggested. According to the data, Dogecoin plunged to $0.06464 from $0.07295, before recovering to $0.06515 at 13.00 hours IST. Edul Patel, Co-Founder and CEO, Mudrex said Dogecoin saw a massive increase in its price after Tesla founder Elon Musk supported the crypto at the Qatar Economic Forum.

One such example is Dogecoin (DOGE), the most significant meme token, which continues to remain in the news thanks to the push from Elon Musk, fondly known as the 'Doge Father' by the masses. The token has rallied over 13 per cent in the last 24 hours to $0.07768 from $0.06858, the data from Coinmarketcap suggested, with its market cap scaling more than the $10.3 billion mark.

This rejection came at a time Musk is sued for $258 billion by a Dogecoin investor, who accused him of running a pyramid scheme to support the cryptocurrency.
