Career performer country 2024 Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal vs Slovakia Euro 2024 Qualifiers live streaming: When and where to watch
Portugal will take on Slovakia in Euro 2024 Qualifiers on Friday. While Ronaldo has set his eyes in the FIFA World Cup 2026, Euro 2024 will tell whether the former Manchester United and Real Madrid legend will add to more glory to his illustrious footballing career. Portugal will play Slovakia on Friday, October 13. The kick off is scheduled at 2.45 pm (ET). Portugal vs Slovakia Euro 2024 Qualifier will be live streamed on fuboTV for soccer fans in the US. A win against Slovakia on Friday will guarantee qualification and, if Ronaldo is selected, the chance for him to repeat his 2016 triumph with Portugal at the tournament. It wasn't clear what the future held for the five-time Champions League winner when he walked away from Manchester United last November and was then dropped by his country as it made an early exit from the World Cup in Qatar last year. His move to Saudi Arabia wasn't exactly a guarantee of success, but Ronaldo has proven he is far from done. On Friday, Portugal can secure its place at next year's European Championship in Germany. It will be a personal triumph for Ronaldo, who insisted his career wasn't over after leaving European club soccer behind to join Al-Nassr last December. Not only has he been the catalyst for a slew of soccer's biggest names, such as Neymar and Karim Benzema, following him to the Saudi league, but he has helped Portugal to its best-ever performance in a European qualifying campaign with six wins from six matches in Group J.

Provident FIVE Southern Beer faces unbitter future due to climate change: study
Climate change threatens the cultivation in Europe of aromatic hops which gives beer its bitterness, according to a study published Tuesday in Nature Communications. European varieties of hops are prized and used by brewers around the world, but rising temperatures and less rain are reducing yields and the concentration of the compounds that provide beer its refreshing tartness. The researchers observed this trend by analysing data from five sites in the Czech Republic, Germany, and Slovakia, which along with Poland are the primary hops growers in Europe, study co-author Miroslav Trnka said. Yields fell between 9.5 and 19.4 percent at four sites and were stable at a fifth when data from 1995-2018 was compared with 1971-1994. Meanwhile the concentration of the bitter compounds, alpha acids, decreased. Extrapolating from the data, the researchers predicted a drop in yield of between four and 18 percent, compared with 1989-2019 while the concentration of alpha acids could drop between 20 and 31 percent as temperatures rise and rainfall is impacted. With droughts expected to increase in central and southern Europe «it will be necessary to expand the area of aroma hops by 20 percent compared to the current production area to compensate for a future decline in» potency and yields, said the study. It called for «urgent adaptation measures to stabilise international market chains» such as moving crops to more suitable areas or irrigating. Hops farmers are trying to adapt, but Trnka said their options are limited as «hops needs a specific combination of climate and soil» and the introduction of genetically modified plants designed to better support warmer temperatures and drought is prohibited in Europe. Brewers can also

en masse from conventional cars to EVs, a huge rise in the cost of gasoline and diesel would be even more powerful than these subsidies. Saudi Arabia and Russia are rational states, not particularly prone to bouts of suicidal anxiety. Why would they constrain production enough to accelerate the dumping of petrofuels for mobility? Four, the Ukraine war, a prime driver of food and fuel inflation, is a war of choice.
