Jimmy Weldon, a voice actor known for his portrayal of Yakky Doodle Duck in Hanna-Barbera cartoons, passed away on July 6 at 99 in Paso Robles, California. Born Ivy Laverne Shinn in Texas, Weldon served as a World War II veteran and was part of the liberation of the Buchenwald concentration camp. Following his military service, he ventured into radio and secured a position at a station in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

To complete the picture, Wednesday’s Consumer Price Index, or CPI, report for last month will have to be just as soft to dial down the Federal Reserve’s hawkishness, ensuring the central bank doesn’t go beyond two more rate hikes this year — better still, one.

At least nine people were reported injured after a suspect opened fire toward a group of people in Downtown Cleveland early Sunday morning, CNN reported quoting Cleveland police. Cleveland Cleveland spokesperson Jennifer Ciaccia said, “No deaths have been reported."  “Preliminary information indicates that a suspect opened fire toward a group of people and then fled the scene," CNN cited the Cleveland police statement. Cleveland Police said there are no arrests in this shooting, and investigators currently are reviewing evidence while interviewing victims, news portal 19 News reported.
