NASA's space capsule Osiris-Rex touches down Earth on Sunday with a speed of 15 times of a bullet, it will have dust grabbed from asteroid Bennu. Once the capsule lands safely on Earth, it will be taken to the Johnson Space Center in Texas, US. A dedicated cleanroom has been built to analyze the samples. A team of experts is awaiting Osiris-Rex there and they will begin the study immediately afterward.

Investing.com — Oil prices swung Thursday, initially rallying on Russia’s fuel export ban before ending lower as a renewed hawkish stance by the Federal Reserve boosted the dollar, weighing on most commodities. 

Oil prices rebounded from $1 down to $1 up in trading on Thursday, after a Russian ban on fuel exports snapped focus away from Western economic headwinds and back to throttled crude supply to the end of 2023. Brent futures for November delivery were up $1.02, or 1.09%, to $94.55 a barrel by 1348 GMT. U.S.

The Federal Reserve held its benchmark interest rate unchanged in a widely expected decision on Wednesday and struck a hawkish tone as the central bank’s ongoing battle against inflation appears to be far from over.

US Federal Reserve also weighed on crude prices. Around 3 pm the November contract of Brent on the Intercontinental Exchange was trading at $92.60 a barrel, down 0.99% from its previous close. The November contract of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) fell to $88.79 a barrel, down 0.97% from its previous close.

Texas has been arrested and fired from his job after police learned he had left his two-month-old baby in a hot car for three hours, local media reported.Antonio Almaraz, 31, has been charged with abandoning a child, child endangerment and causing serious bodily injury to a child after his baby was found unresponsive inside his vehicle. The two-month-old was rushed to a San Antonio-area hospital and remains in critical condition.The hospital where the baby is being treated notified police in Bexar County about the incident.When police questioned Almaraz about what happened, he gave conflicting statements, “however, investigators were able to determine the events that had actually taken place,” the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office told local outlet KSAT.Police learned that Almaraz had driven his baby to a routine doctor’s appointment at around 9 a.m.

US Federal Reserve officials indicated that interest rates were likely to remain higher for longer. The local currency opened at 83.09 as compared to previous close of 83.07. The US dollar index, which measures the currency against a basket of rivals, rose to a six-month high of 105.68.

Oil prices fell in early Asian trade on Thursday after falling by the most in a month in the previous session on U.S. interest rate hike expectations, and ahead of a steer from other central banks on their rate outlooks. Brent futures for November delivery fell 44 cents, or 0.5%, to $89.18 a barrel by 0010 GMT.
