You’re Seeing Medical Test Results Before Your Doctor Does. Why?
This wasn’t the way Laurette Bennhold-Samaan wanted to learn she had breast cancer: alone and logging onto her medical portal to see the words “invasive ductal carcinoma." Stunned, the 62-year-old from Arlington, Va., called her doctor. “I’m sorry you’re giving me the information I should be giving you," she recalls her doctor saying. People are now often getting medical information from portals and electronic health records directly, without it first being filtered by their doctor.

Biden brushes off House impeachment inquiry and says Republicans want to shut down the government
Biden late on Wednesday brushed off the House Republicans' impeachment inquiry, saying the way he sees it, they launched the investigation against him because they want to shut down the federal government. Biden, speaking at a Democratic fundraiser in Virginia, said that instead of being concerned about the probe, «I'm focused on the things the American people want me focused on». The president's remarks were the first since Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced the launch of a Biden impeachment inquiry while the Republican House leader is also struggling to shore up votes to fund the government and prevent a federal shutdown. «The best I can tell is they want to impeach me because they want to shut down the government,» Biden said. He also made a reference to Rep.

Florida county recognises November as Hindu Heritage Month
Florida has recognised November as Hindu Heritage Month. Broward County joins a list of states from across the country, including Georgia, Texas, Ohio, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Virginia, etc, to commemorate Hindu heritage, culture, values, and traditions. November is a significant month for Hindus as they celebrate the festival of lights, Diwali, which falls on the 12th of the month this year. Stating that millions of Americans celebrate the festival every year, including those in the county, the recent resolution called Diwali a «time of peace, joy and new beginnings where people of all ages, especially young children, light oil lamps, burst fireworks and distribute sweets». Welcoming the move, CoHNA (Coalition of Hindus of North America), a Hindu advocacy group in the US, said on Tuesday: «The Resolution also acknowledges Hinduism as one of the world's largest and oldest religions, along with its diverse traditions, collectively known as Sanatana Dharma, with core values of acceptance, mutual respect, freedom and peace.» The resolution also acknowledged the community's contributions towards yoga, ayurveda, meditation, food, music, arts, etc has enriched the cultural fabric and have been widely adopted in American society. It highlighted that the Hindu philosophy of Vedanta and ideals such as selfless service, non-violence, etc have inspired many American intellectuals and leaders, from Martin Luther King, Jr, John D. Rockefeller, Henry David Thoreau, to Aldous Huxley, and many others.

Private Jets and Pop-Up Workspaces: Boeing Eases Return to Office for Top Brass
For Boeing’s senior executives, returning to the office has been a smooth flight. Chief Executive David Calhoun, who took over the company just before the pandemic, started working from home and then never made the move when Boeing shifted its headquarters from Chicago to Arlington, Va., last year. Instead, Calhoun travels via private jet from two homes, one a sprawling waterfront house at New Hampshire’s Lake Sunapee, the other in a gated South Carolina resort community.
