Worried about online data leaks? Google One's Dark Web Report feature helps users stay safe against breaches; find out how it works
Google has launched the Dark Web Report feature for its Google One subscribers in India, following its earlier introduction to users in the United States. This feature allows users to monitor their personal information on the dark web, a concealed part of the internet often exploited by hackers and wrongdoers engaged in illicit activities, such as trading sensitive personal data. The dark web's intention to obscure user identities and locations makes it a hotbed for cybercriminals to carry out nefarious activities. Google's Dark Web Report will act as a guardian, alerting users if their personal information is detected on the dark web. This proactive measure empowers individuals to take necessary steps and exercise caution against potential fraudulent exploits like identity theft and financial scams.
